this is a difficult change for most people to make after being so accustomed to using latin american spanish(besides argentina) and spanish from spain. For me, i corrected myself for about a month everytime I used the wrong form of the verb for ‘you’. I have been in argentina for some months now studying spanish, and have changed spanish schools a few times depending on how much i was paying and how well the classes were taught. I am now taking spanish classes in Expanish, the classes are great as are the prices. Good for those people wanting to tackle things like vos, and other spanish language difficulties.

Hi there. I have spent a year in Uruguay and will be returning in the fall. I found the use of the Vos form easier to get used to than I expected. After awhile, it kind of comes naturally without extra study.

If you’re interested, I recorded several readings with my Uruguayan teacher and will be posting some Interviews if anybody out there wants to practice Spanish pronunciation.

Hi there,
I live in Bolivia for half a year, before in Argentina for 8 months. I like how the “vos” sounds, for me it makes me feel closer to person who is talking to me. I People in Bolivia still use the “vos” but the argentian accent is the only one, i do like it.Btw i found a nice spanish school in bolivia named instituto exclusivo, for all those who want to study in a decent school.

Yes in my opinion using the language you are learning is most important. Once you lose the fear of looking stupid or saying simple things, half the battle is won. And most people like to hear their own language spoken and will be more receptive to you.
